Located at 150km northeast of Marrakech, these amazing 110m high waterfalls are considered among the most beautiful places in Morocco and constitute one of the most interesting natural attractions of the Moroccan Atlas.
The Ouzoud river ("ouzoud" means olive in the Berber language, referring to the olive groves of the region) plunges to the bottom of an abyss of vegetation to join the ravine of the river Abib, 2km away. The irrigation allows numerous cultures, mainly splendid olive groves.
An interesting excursion (lasting between 2 and 4 hours) consists of going down and down the river below the waterfalls, between a succession of basins bordered by canes, where you can surprise birds like the Martin-Fisherman and small waterfalls
