9 Days Fez to High Desert Atlas and Marrakech:
Day 1: Airport - Fez:
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the center of the medina of Fez, cultural capital of Morocco. Accommodation in a hotel according to selected hotel category.
Day 2: Fez - Fez:
Free day in FEZ. When penetrating the streets of your medina (old city) we will feel that time recedes: the union structure is still present in the work, the narrowness of its streets does not allow other means of transport than donkeys and a constant tingling of people moves through the labyrinthine streets in the midst of which neighborhoods like the one of the Andalusians and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools will surprise us. Fez has always been associated with study and religiosity, and remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. After visiting the medina, another option is to walk aimlessly through the streets of Fez-Jdid, where the royal palace, the mellah (Jewish quarter) and the oldest mosque in Fez are located. Accommodation in a hotel according to selected hotel category.
Day 3: Fez - Ifrane Azrou - Midelt - Errachidia - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga:
After breakfast, departure to Midelt through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. Pass by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important craft center specializing in cedar wood work. After the Zad Pass (2178m / 7146ft), we will arrive at Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, we will descend towards Erfoud and Errachidia through the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm trees. Continue to the sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Merzouga according to selected hotel category.
Day 4: Merzouga - Khamlia - Rissani - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi desert:
This will be a stage where after breakfast, we will go through another of the tracks used in the "Rally Paris-Dakar", visiting nomads of the desert with whom we will have tea and see the oasis where some movies were filmed as "Sahara", starring by Penélope Cruz. We will visit the town of "los negros", named for the slave trade they brought from the Sudan. And after eating we will change the traction of the 4x4 by that of the animal traction. The dromedaries will take us to the desert of dunes to contemplate an unforgettable sunset. This night will be special, we will sleep in the dunes in nomad tents (Jaimas), as the Berbers do. Here we will enjoy a Berber dinner, music and a starry sky like you have never seen before. Dinner and accommodation in the unforgettable Haima.
Day 5: Desert Erg Chebbi- Rissani - Gorges of Todra - Gorges of Dades:
We will get up early to climb the dunes before sunrise, a show like no other. An interesting excursion that we can do on foot or by camel. After breakfast we go out again in the 4x4 to visit the hammada (stone desert), where from time to time there are dunes and palm trees, small oases where life takes shape. In just over 2 hours you will reach Tinerhir, the greenest oasis in the south, from where you can access the Todra Gorges. Time for walks through the oasis, contemplating their crops and irrigation systems, and to travel part of the Gorges in a unique way. Dinner and night in a hotel according to selected hotel category.
Day 6: Dades Gorges - Dades Valley - Valley of the Roses - Kelaa M 'Gouna - Skoura - Ouarzazate:
We will continue along the route of the Kasbahs, being able to deviate towards the interior of the Dades Valley; we will find some of the most beautiful kasbahs in Skoura. After leaving Ouarzazate behind, we will head towards Aït Benhaddou, one of the largest kasbahs in the south, which maintains some well-preserved parts thanks to the fact that it has become the setting for many films. We will sleep in a hotel in front of the kasbah, so that we can visit it calmly and outside the times of greater influx of visitors. Dinner and overnight at a hotel near the kasbah Ait Benhaddou.
Day 7: Ouarzazate - Aït Benhaddou - Marrakech:
The trip is a succession of strong points. Today's day is another one of them. The 200 km separating Ouarzazate from Marrakech runs through the High Atlas. The road must be traveled slowly, for its beauty and because it is a mountain pass that crosses the Atlas at almost 2,300m. To round off the spectacular day, we will follow the old caravan route that linked the two cities through the Ounila Valley, where kasbahs are built in caves and will also take us to Telouet. Finally, arrival in Marrakech. Accommodation in a hotel according to selected hotel category.
Day 8: Marrakech - Marrakech:
Free day in Marrakech, city famous for its Jemaa el Fna square, which will occupy much of our time: an amalgam of aromas, sounds and sensations unrepeatable. The city also has countless places to wander and enjoy: the Jardines de Majorelle, the Menara, the Saadian Tombs, walks through the medina or the mellah (the old Jewish quarter), the route of the walls and the modern city (Gueliz) with its western ways of life.
