Tours of 8 Days from Marrakech High Atlas to Merzouga:
Day 1: Marrakech:
Pick up at the airport in Marrakech. Free day to visit the city. Marrakech is the city of four colors: the ocher of the earth, the white of the Atlas, the blue of the sky, and the green of the vegetation. Marrakech, on the great plain of Haouz, surrounded by the High Atlas Mountains, was chosen by Abou Bakr, chief of the Almoravids, for the abundance of water. The city was built with materials from the area: wood from the Atlas forests, blue stone and sand. Thus Marrakech was born, the oasis of snow and gold.
Day 2: Marrakech - Ouarzazate (half board):
Exit towards the South. From the village of Ait Ourir, the road narrows to cross the Tiz-in-Tichka port of 2260 meters of altitude. The climb is through the Tamesnar valley. We can also visit the tighremt (barn) of Irhem N'Ougdal, fortified building of adobe and stone, whose towers allow the surveillance of the surroundings of the town. Another jewel of the region, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village with beautiful crenellated and decorated towers, one of the most beautiful in the Glaua region.
