12 Days from Casablanca via Desert and Imperial Cities
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT CASABLANCA AIRPORT:
At the time of arrival of your plane, transfer to the Hotel. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.
DAY 2: CASABLANCA-MARRAKECH:
After breakfast, visit the city of Casablanca. The largest city in Morocco, as well as its main port; It is also the largest city in the Maghreb region. It is considered the economic and commercial center of Morocco, the city has an important modern architectural heritage, due to the architectural diversity experienced during the twentieth century. Then we will go to the city of Marrakech. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.
DAY 3: MARRAKECH-CITY VISIT:
After breakfast we will visit the wonderful city with a local guide. Marrakech is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. It was founded in 1062 by the Almoravids and was the capital of the Islamic Empire. The city has the largest traditional market (souk) in the country and one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world, Djemaa el Fna. Acrobats, storytellers, water sellers, dancers and musicians are mentioned in the square. At night, the square is filled with food stalls, becoming a great open-air restaurant. DAY 4: MARRAKECH-KSAR OF AIT BEN HADDOU-OUARZAZATE-GARGANTAS DEL DADES
After breakfast we will go by the mountain pass of Coll Tichka (2260m.), We will arrive at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which we will visit, where caravans passed through the Sahara desert and where they have shot several famous movies like Gladiator , Obelix, Sahara with Penelope Cruz, etc ... After a journey full of Ksour, oasis and palm trees we will arrive at the Gorges of Dades where we will stay with dinner and breakfast.
DAY 5: GIRLS OF THE DADES-GIRLS OF TODRA-ERFOUD-RISSANI-MERZOUGA
After breakfast, we will visit the Todra gorges, whose walls narrow and rise, increasingly abrupt, until reaching 300 m. Tall. Once visited this spectacular landscape we will go to the village of Tinejdad to reach the Ksar de Touroug, surrounded by beautiful oases. Shortly after we will enter the Jorf palm grove that progresses without stopping until Erfoud where the best dates of the country are collected and finally the desert appears, with its voluptuous dunes of fine and golden sands, and the city of Merzouga. DAY 6: MERZOUGA-KHAMLIA-TAOUZ-TRACK OF THE RISK PARIS DAKAR TO THE DESERT OF OUZINA-JDAID-TAOUZ-MERZOUGA
After breakfast, we will drive in 4 × 4 vehicles on the Paris Dakar Rally track to the village of Khamlia, where the Gnawa, former sub-Saharan inhabitants live, who will delight us with their music and their dances while we drink a mint tea. Then we will arrive in Taouz, and continue along the track of the Paris Dakar Rally to Ouzina, where we will eat. In the afternoon we will visit the town of Ouzina, then we will go to Jdaid, where we will visit some rock engravings. We will go later to Taouz and in the afternoon we will arrive at Merzouga. Where we will board the camels to make an excursion and watch the sunset in the dunes of Erg Chebbi and sleep in Haimas Berber in the middle of the dunes with dinner and show of Berber music.
DAY 7: MERZOUGA-RISSANI-ERFOUD-ERRACHIDIA-MIDELT-AZROU-IFRANE-FEZ:
We will get up early and go back with the camels to the Hotel where we can shower and have breakfast. Then we will go in the direction of Rissani, a commercial city where there is a wonderful market or Souk. Where we can buy many things typical of the area. Then we will continue to Azrou, passing through Erfoud and Errachidia. In the afternoon we will arrive at the forests of the Millennial Cedars of Azrou and we will be able to see the monkeys that live in them. We will continue to the city of Ifrane, or called Switzerland of Morocco, located in the mountains of the Middle Atlas. Its name is due to the constructions more typical of Switzerland than of Morocco. Then we will arrive to the city of Fez. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.
DAY 8: FEZ-VISIT OF THE CITY
After breakfast, we will visit the city with a local guide. Fez is one of the four imperial cities, considered as the religious and cultural center of the country, perhaps one of the most important symbols of Morocco. It has labyrinthine streets and the Medina of Fez el-Bali (old Fez) is one of the largest medieval sites in the world today, and the surrounding gates and walls enhance its magnificence. DAY 9: FEZ-VOLUBILIS-MEKNES
After breakfast we will head towards Volubilis, an ancient Roman city located at the foot of Mount Zerhun, the holy city of Morocco. The archaeological site of Volubilis is possibly the best preserved Roman site in this area of North Africa. It was included in the list of the Unesco World Heritage Site in 1997. Then we will arrive in Meknes, one of the four Imperial cities that since 1996, Unesco has designated as part of the World Heritage Site, for its representative nature of an urban complex and architectural design of a seventeenth-century Maghreb capital that harmoniously combines Islamic and European design and planning elements. DAY 10: MEKNES-RABAT
After breakfast we will go to Rabat, capital of Morocco. The historic center of the city, which includes the main buildings and squares, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2012. In Rabat we will find several places of interest, such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, the Kasbah or the medina of the city. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast in Hotel.
DAY 11: RABAT-CASABLANCA
After breakfast we will go to the city of Casablanca, where we can enjoy the beautiful city and do some shopping. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast in Hotel.
DAY 12: CASABLANCA-TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT
After breakfast at the Hotel and at the departure time of your plane, transfer to the airport and end of our services.
